Friends, Pool Time, Getting Ready for K, Superheroes, Dancing

The boys singing to "Bumble Bee" song :)

And then they got naked and wanted to choreograph a dance to the song :)

Fun with friends and donuts!

This is why we go swimming nearly every day: all tuckered out

Becks has been waiting forever to have a playdate with Mason (our friends little boy); the two just hit it off!

Mike has been gone for almost two weeks; he loves this app and he loves sending Becks and Amari these funny videos :)

Beckham was looking forward to seeing the Superheroes at the science museum! Amari didn't want anything to do with them :)

Fireworks are still going strong over here :)

Someone is officially ready to start Kindergarten in a few weeks! He picked out his very own back pack: Power Rangers!!

This little one just wanted to snuggle

4th of July Atlanta Getaway

Ready for our 4th of July weekend getaway to Atlanta! So grateful my job with R+F can be used to pay for helping those in need and going on family trips to create memories that last a life time.  The boys LOVED staying in the city, sleeping in the hotel room, jumping/wrestling on the bed, night swimming, day swimming, going up and down the elevators and escalators, exploring the hotel, exploring the city; Beck's got to go school shopping at H&M (his first time picking out his own clothes—he picked out a cute little "minecraft", is what he called it, jacket/hoodie).  The first day in the city we went to Six Flags.  Amari had a love/hate relationship with the rides.  He loved them but he couldn't handle a lot of them; by the end he wanted to get off and kept saying "want to go home."  Beckham loved all of the rides.  We also got to go to the water park in the amusement park for about 45min before they closed.  I was so proud of Beck's for going down the biggest water slide there; he loved it!

The 4th of July was kind of a bust :(.  Mike had a really bad headache.  But we had an incredible breakfast at Another Broken Egg (best sweet potato pancakes and bacon I have ever had)! Centennial Park was closed down for the 4th (I was going to have the kids play in the splash pad there). We kicked it at the hotel for bit, took Beck's shopping to get some school clothes, went swimming, and then we went out to eat at one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever been too.  The rice melted in your mouth, the salsa was insane, and the lobster tacos were incredible! We then went to Stone Mountain because I heard it was one of the best firework shows in the nation.  WRONG, WRONG decision! The mountain was cool, don't get me wrong, but this place was INSANELY packed and we had to walk close to an hour to get there; it was truly the most crazy experience I have ever had.  We could barely see the laser show on the mountain when we finally got there and then we only saw a little of the fireworks because Becks passed out and we had a long walk back to the car and it was already 11pm—yikes; worst decision ever! Wish we had stayed in the city and watched the fireworks from our hotel room  . . . live and learn. All in all I am glad we got to break up our regular routine and so something as a family that the kids will never forget.

Let the road trip begin!!

Funny little kid; he loves making these faces!

So proud of this little man for going on such big rides; he loves amusement parks

Yummy Burgers (best fries and best root beer ever!

The boys are all in bed . . . I am finally back in a big city, I just want to party . . . instead I did my nails :)

Happy 4th of July!!

The best Sweet Potato pancakes and maple bacon!! Another Broken Egg

Becks loves his first shopping experience for school clothes at H&M!

Takin it back: slush puppies!

Truly one of the best Mexican restaurants: best salsa and rice and yummy lobster tacos!

Insane experience we will never forget: hour walk to Stone Mountain and it was packed!! It was one of the dumbest decisions I have made haha.

Stop at one of my favs!!

Cya later City!!

My kids may not remember this but I am so grateful that our adventures in the South have allowed us to visit such historical sites that have changed the course (good and bad) of our nations history.  Beckham was so excited to visit the place where MLK lived and where he was buried.  It was so incredible to walk in this great mans footsteps.  I hope and pray that these are the exemplars the boys look to and choose to be defenders of freedom!

MLK home (where he was born)

I have to take as many pics of this blonde haired blue eyed boy as possible because he is turning dark brown :(
