Mike and I recently returned from a relaxing 5 day vaca with the company he works for—North Star Alarm. Although it was super hard for me to leave Beckahm—my first time since he was born—we knew he was in great hands with his Auntie Michelle and cousin Maile who did such an awesome job taking care of him while we were away. I can't thank them enough! Beckahm LOVED spending time with them and we are so grateful for all of the wonderful training tips Michelle passed on to us. He has definitely matured the five days we were gone. She got him to start sleeping and turning on his left side, sitting up a lot better on his own, no more 11p.m. dream feed, and she even helped him regulate his digestive system better. Sounds to me like we need her to come visit once a month :). THANKS AUNTIE!!! And Maile did such a great job babysitting our little man; he just loves his cousin Maile!

As for our trip we spent five days relaxing, spending time with friends, playing beach volleyball, swimming in the ocean, going into the city to eat some amazing authentic Mexican food—best fish tacos we have ever had—and picked up some fun gifts from the Mexican market (always fun haggling), singing and jiving to some karaoke, getting sick from all the resort food, and we got to go on a "Jungle/Snorkeling Tour", which I think made me LOVE snorkeling and want to take it up as a hobby–travel the world and snorkel all the great reefs. Mike drove the speed boat on the way out to the reef and I got to drive it back to the hotel. It was fun cruising around the ocean, only wish we could have kicked it up a notch and been a bit more "reckless" :). We had a wonderful, unforgettable time!

Coming home was unbearably exciting. It was so awesome to see our little man. I rode with him in the back and he kicked with excitement and couldn't stop smiling—he was beaming to see his mommy and daddy! It seriously made my week!!

I hope Mike and I can go on 2 trips a year for 3-5 days, relax together, and reconnect—it is so important for our relationship!! I am glad we have so much fun and can still laugh and be silly even after three long years of marriage :) haha.
