It was good coming home and being reunited with Mike after two weeks of being apart. Me coming home was supposed to be a surprise, but that didn't really pan out as I though it would—I miscalculated and ended up pulling in behind him on his way home from work :). I have learned that it is exceptionally hard to surprise Mike . . . hmmm I am going to have to work on that in the future.

He was so thoughtful and took the day off to be with me yesterday. We went to the yummiest restaurant for lunch—Paseo—a Caribbean inspired dive. Their sandwiches are divine—another yummy place we will miss and crave when we leave Seattle. We are thoroughly enjoying all of the international food we've been able to eat and come to love: Greek, Caribbean, Moroccan, German . . . YUM!!! We love, love, love food! After lunch we went to the dollar theater and saw Iron Man II for the first time—what a great action flick, I loved it!

I love the simple things in life: being around someone you love, enjoying a good movie, and eating yummy food! I will miss Seattle if we do decide to leave; it is a wonderful city and we have created many wonderful, lasting memories!

Yummy ham and swiss cheese with pepperchinis and a bbq pulled pork with sauteed onions—divine!!

Sunday was wonderful to be able to go to church together and then have a yummy home cooked meal: slow cooked bbq pulled pork on kaiser buns, corn on the cob with ranch butter, home made french fries with yummy fry sauce, maple black beans, fresh watermelon, and frozen strawberry/blackberry lemonade. For dessert: home cooked smores over the stove—large marshmallows, graham crackers, with reeses buttercups, and kit kat. SO YUMMY! I love the simple things in life!
