St. Paddy's Day

Beautiful spring morning spent with my kiddos at Aldridge gardens.  Seeing as much green as we could on this St. Patricks Day.

Picking beautiful flowers for mama.  I love it when he tells me thanks for taking him places and then says, " you're the best mama ever!"

I love seeing the flowers bloom

"Where the ducks go, I go"

I nearly died laughing seeing Amari get so scared of this wood statue in the gardens.  He refused to make eye contact with it.  When I picked him up to try and make him touch it he started crying.

My two little leprachans

Throwing rocks is his favorite thing

Ending the day off right with this Eastman tradition: corn beef and cabbage with carrots and potatoes and popovers—yum!

St. Paddy's

Just a little blurb I posted on FB:

Happy St. Paddy's! So I had the "perfect" celebration planned for the day: dress the boys in their cute St. Paddy's gear, attend the Birmingham parade, do a St. Paddy's craft with Beckahm, bake a mint, swirled cheesecake . . . well, it didn't really turn out how it was planned in my head (does it ever???). Guess we should have been in Birmingham CANADA at 12:00 this afternoon, after all that is where the parade actually took place! What a retard I am! At least I can laugh at myself now because it wasn't funny in the moment; poor Becks, I totally got him pumped up the past two days to attend a parade and Mommy just couldn't deliver.

In the end we flew to NYC (aka Birmingham Alabama) and saw the Statue of Liberty—second best way to celebrate our Irish Heritage :).
