Weekly Events

Riding his hand me down scooter (Mike ended up spray painting it because he couldn't stand it being pink :).  Beckahm is getting better every day he decides to actually practice :).

Amari getting around

Boys hard at play

I loved night games as a kid.  I couldn't just let Beckahm watch from the balcony, I had to let him roam free at dusk with the rest of his buddies.

After 8 hours of re-processing my hair I finally got the color I have always wanted: strawberry brown.  I LOVE it!!

This little munchkin will do just about anything to get his hands on some straps.  He loves to munch on them.

Enjoying the lovely fall weather.  Little Amari is doing so good sitting on his own (7months)

Playing outside

Like father, like son; enjoying some chili fritos.

Beckahm was waiting for me to pick up my perscription and then next thing I knew he had picked up
"People" magazine and was flipping through it while sitting on this chair; this kid cracks me up.

Getting into big brothers toys while big brother was sleeping :).  Amari is so curious about everything; he is such an active, explorative little boy

This little kid will chew on just about anything

 All tuckered out

Someone got out of his crib for the first time and this is the result (he pulled out every toy in his room/closet). I was so shocked to see him standing before me telling me "mom, I did it!I climbed out of my crib!!" He was so proud of himself.  I didn't know whether to congratulate him on his bravery and strength or to tell him he wasn't supposed to climb out.  We transitioned to a toddler bed soon thereafter.  It was a bit heart breaking to put away all of his nursery stuff and make his room a "big boy" room (decorated in Superheroes—fitting right now as he is absolutely obsessed with superheroes).

This is our talk about it after praising him for being brave and strong :)

My little boy all grown up :( (first night in a toddler bed.  He rolled off once.  I heard him whimpering and saying "mommy help" while he was still in a state of deep sleep.  Poor little thing.  I put down extra blankets and pillows till Daddy was able to put his railings up to keep him from rolling off).

First time Beckahm really noticed his shadow.  I love teaching him new things: shadowchasers

And here is little Amari's shadow which he seems to notice quite frequently.
Sitting up like a big boy! He loves this toy (a gift Grandma Moncur got for Beckahm when he was  almost a year old)

 Beautiful sunset in Hoover, AL

So sleepy this little munchkin has been from not taking naps the past few days (due to transitioning into a toddler bed). So funny he kept telling Amari to keep his eyes open cause Amari was falling asleep (he'd say over and over again while opening his own eyelids,  "Marsh open eyes, open"), when in reality he was telling himself to do so.

This is the lovely face I have been seeing on Beckahm the past month

We finally invested in a walker for Amari, seeing that he is so adamant about walking to keep up with the rest of us.  I have never seen him smile quite so big.  He was a natural at it; right when I put him in it he was cruising around, checking himself out in the dishwasher and oven.

A video of Amari moving in his crib; this little tike gets around!!

This is how I have been finding Beck's after his naps: passed out in front of his door.  Precious, funny little boy.  I totally remember loving to sleep on my carpet when I was young.

And this is how I found him twice after naps: stripped down, passed out in front of the door.  The first time he told me he took his diaper off because he wanted to wear his superhero underwear (the ones we got when we were trying to potty train him).  He has taken his diaper off twice now.

He was SO tired from not taking naps for 3 days; he could barely eat his dinner.  It was sad yet hilarious at the same time

Mr. Rogers: classic

Both kiddos passed out, exhausted after story time at the library

Amari and Beckahm playing bumper cars.  Amari is getting so good at cruising in his walker and keeping up with his brother.  Beckahm was getting quite annoyed with his younger brother and his ability to keep up with him

Aldridge park for Friday park day

The three amigos.  These kiddos are best friends; inseperable!

Playing with neighborhood friends

Being an explorer outside

I love how he used his spoon to dig in the dirt

Little Amari's laugh puts a smile on my face. He is such a mover and explorer as well!!
